The Art Of Moving On

When you fall in-love, you fall hard. This is a fact that nobody can change. No matter how happy you are, no matter how high you are floating, you always end up getting hurt. And when it hurts, it hurts so bad you feel like your heart's cut into pieces by a chainsaw. But why do people, though hurt and bleeding, can't help but fall over and over again?

You see, when you fall in-love, everything around you doesn't seem to matter anymore. All you care about is being with that person 24/7, right? Just the thought of loving someone and being loved in return gives you the ultimate rush. You are blinded by such emotions that you tend to forget everything, because you know in your heart that he's the one for you. You think you belong together and will stay that way forever. That fate has allowed the two of you to cross paths. Blah..blah..blah...

It's those very things that cause the hurt in the first place. Because you were making to much assumptions that you didn't even bother to think of the consequences of your actions. You expected too much, or gave too much. But there's nothing wrong with that, what matters was that it felt right, you felt happy. Because at that time all you can think of was making that person happy, and knowing that person's happy makes you feel happy too.

So now that you're alone and crying your tears out, just remember that one time or another you loved someone unconditionally. Crying would be good, for with every tear that falls you'll learn to let go of that part of your life. Bear in mind that the memories you shared, the happiness, the ultimate rush, was worth it. Yes it was worth it, because it never would've hurt so much knowing that she's gone. A friend once told me that if you've never tasted the saltiness of your tears then you could never taste the sweetness of happiness. So when you're done crying, move on because someone much better might come along. And with lessons learned, you'll love again, and again, and again until the time comes that you'll meet that person destined for you.

Love sucks! I know, but hey! It's worth it, right?

Anyone who has gone through the agony of losing someone she/he loves so much will still wish against all odds to have that love back again. But, sometimes a love lost is a love gone forever. No amount of hope can bring back to life a relationship that just died a natural death. Set yourself free. Let your heart spread its wings and fly. Remember, it may rain for 40 days and 40 nights, but still will not rain forever. One day the pouring will stop and there will be plenty of branches where you can find rest. One of these is where you will build your nest and start over again.
